Your phone number is yours. If you ever leave DIPVTEL, you can take it with you — porting into our system is free and typically takes 2–4 business days.
What Do I Need to Know About Local Number Portability?
Porting your existing number into DIPVTEL is free and usually completes within 2–4 business days for most residential and small business customers. If you decide to leave DIPVTEL, you can take your number with you as long as your new provider supports porting to and from the DIPV Telecom network.

How Does It Work?
When you sign up for DIPVTEL services, you can move your existing number to us and use it to make and receive calls over VoIP instead of your landline. During sign-up you'll complete a Letter of Authorization (LOA), giving us permission to bring your number onto our system. If you choose not to keep your number, we'll simply assign you a new one, and you'll be able to make low-cost calls using your regular phone handsets, just as you do now.
Porting Note
You may be able to take your current number to another service provider. Once your port is completed through your new provider, you must email support@dipvtel.com or create a service ticket to cancel your DIPVTEL service. Until you cancel, you remain a DIPVTEL customer responsible for all associated charges and fees. If you cancel prior to completion of the port, your service will not work and your number may not be available for porting. Your account must be active and in good standing to port out.
