Zero-Downtime Toll-Free Number Migration
When a company decides to buy toll-free service from DIPVTEL, we guarantee zero downtime. We load the customer's TFN on each carrier — and if the customer is already using one of our suppliers, we set up routing initially on one or two of the carriers not currently in use.
We run extensive testing once the new trunk is set up between the DIPVTEL gateways and the customer. Each carrier is tested to confirm the call is delivered with the correct digits on the ANI and the DNIS.
Once that is complete, we submit the SMS/1 request to change to the new carrier, and as the plan updates, calls begin routing successfully. We then bring in the carrier previously used by the customer, run the same testing, and only then implement a robust, complex 3-carrier routing plan for the lowest possible cost.
